Retinue Alpha

I am excited to share an alpha release of a project I’m very excited about.

If we think about the arc of progress in AI over the past five years, it has become increasingly real-time.

It started with the request-response model. We direct intelligence via language to answer our questions, and more recently, to follow our direction and take action.

More and more, we are seeing autonomous intelligence in action through loop engineering. Loops define a full lifecycle of receiving information, deciding what to do with it, and taking action. We as humans are now in charge of designing the system itself.

I think what will come soon is always-on ambient intelligence via our devices that we trust to take actions or, at a minimum, suggest actions that could be taken that we then give permission for it to do

Way back in history, important people would have a retinue of individuals to accompany them to important meetings, such as chroniclers, sages, physicians, and merchants, to counsel them. We have that today too - associates accompany important people within organisations to offer their opinion on important matters.

We have the potential now to provide this experience to everyone through always-on AI

This is the motivation behind Retinue. What was once available only to a select few can now be available to everyone. Real-time feedback, critique, and clarification for you when you are making some of the most important decisions of your life, to avoid the avoidable mistakes, whether it be visiting a doctor, making investment decisions, or hiring people to join your team.
